Hotel Meow 0.2 - The Post Jam Update
Welcome To Hotel Meow » Devlog
After a break over the new Year, we have returned to developing "Welcome to Hotel Meow", the game we made for the Secret Santa jam before Christmas.
In this first update, we wanted to focus on quality of life changes, as well as balancing and bugfixes.
Changes:
- Added "change indicators" to all percentage bars that show the current trend
- Added a variety of shortcuts to open menus and navigate the build menu (see tooltips)
- Added new Room: Restaurant
- Many performance improvements and code refactors
- Made it so there can only be one opened in-game window for player convenience
- Updated some icons in the UI
- Fixed bug where the browser scrolled while the player was trying to move with the middle mouse button
- Added links to our discord and subreddit, feel free to join :)
- Changed the way the hotel expansion cost is calculated
- Adjusted some volumes
Fixes:
- Fixed some of the windows not being transparent
- Fixed ground texture being cut off when zoomed fully zoomed out
- Fixed tooltips not showing correctly in some cases
- Fixed Hotkey display not clearing properly causing performance loss
- Fixed UI overflow in the staff window
- Fixed UI windows tween bug and pause menu ears not showing
